It is officially Rye January. We are releasing Barrel 20-021 to our Distillery Members today (if you haven't purchased your membership you still have some time before the end of the month). This is easily the best Rye and maybe the best whiskey we have ever released. This Bottled in Bond expression aged for 5 years 7 months old in a @kelvin_cooperage medium toast/ char 3 53 gal barrel. Entry proof was 110, and 121 on harvesting. The mashbill is 90% Elbon Rye from @whiskeysisterssupply and 10% Ballad Malt from @troubadourmaltings. Citrus peel, honey, and marzipan on the nose. Ginger bread, christmas pudding, biscuit and light pine resin on the palate, with a long finish. 200 bottles and then it is gone!![]()
